Balloons ...

Maybe you have seen this first picture in the latest copy of Mollie Makes ? In the States these balloons are a huge hit and I can't but help ogle over them. Admiring them each time I see another shoot and wishing somehow I could find an excuse to get some of my own. But coming from the States I can only imagine that to have them shipped over to the UK would be nothing short of a costly experience.

Are they not just simply irresistible ? I think they add a great deal of interest to events and with them being so light and easy to carry; fabulous for fun photo shoots. I asked someone this past weekend about balloons in general and I got told that they thought they were tacky. For a few seconds I felt like my heart had been torn into a million pieces, but I realised not long after the conversation that what they had not seen is balloons styled in the correct way. I am sure that with these photos I would win them over !

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE HUGE BALLOONS ...
LOVE THEM OR HATE THEM ?

Love Chrissi x

We had two giant peach ones at our 2010 wedding and released them as a tribute to my Grandma :) LOVE big balloons! So fun.

I adore them, and we had them at our wedding! :) (I had a credit from Geronimo ballon, who makes the most AMAZING tissue paper streamers to go with! But there are DIY tutorials out there, so you can make your own and save a wad of cash!)

But, try Amazon.com, if you want balloons! I've seen 3/packs of the 36 inch large white ballons on there for $10. Then you can just take them to your local party supply store and ask to have them inflated...they'll charge you for helium-only. (I think the helium cost $3/balloon for our wedding!)

But look out. They're HUGE. We had two in an SVU and the car was maxed out! Perhaps if you go this route, it might be best to rent a helium tank and inflate them onsite. :)

But, I vote yes. Yes for ballons! So celebratory and gorgeous. You can't go wrong!

lol Bethany I can only imagine how much room they take up ! I'll have to have about 6 / 8 people come with me into town so they can get them into their cars ... oh the joys (doubt we will even get one in our wedding car hahahahaha) might need a huge van lol but I WILL get them to the church somehow .... I LOVE LOVE LOVE them ... I found a website here in the UK so I might order from them and look into making the streamers .. I have a lot of crete paper and gold stuff from my birthday ... man all this planning is soooooo exciting !

Hope Kuwait is treating you well !
