A true love for hot pink ...

I don't know about you, but I am just loving pops of hot pink right now. Be it at weddings, at home or even in fashion this wonderful, fun and vibrant colour has me beaming from ear to ear. It's fresh, but warm and oh so wholesome. I believe it would look truly spectacular with a white and gold backdrop. And don't worry you don't need a lot of it, just a small touch to make a huge impact.

Go on add a bit of pink to your life and spread the love !

Weddings and details ...

There are weddings here in the UK that are seriously not my style in fact they are so old school, so blah and boring that I really want to scream. I know that the UK is really starting to catch on with the likes of US style weddings, which makes me super happy, but why are we still so far behind ?

I don't want to seem rude or anything, but are there any other fellow Brits reading this that would agree ?  I mean look at the Americans, the French, the Spanish, now they know how to throw a real wedding. Look at the fun games, the small details that turn a hey ok wedding into spectacular event.

I am ALL for details and fun, they make me wanna jump with excitement. One of the reasons I believe I excel at planning parties is simply because I love to concentrate on the mini additions, which really bring a table arrangement to life.

For one I love this photo shoot first shown by Green Wedding Shoes. Look at how beautiful it is with it's white, gold and pink accents. I love the golden log to hold the florals, the white backdrop, the pink peonies, the gold cutlery, the confetti, the sweet paper flowers on the wall. So eye catching wouldn't you agree ?

Well we can all have this and it needn't be expensive. You can make a lot of these things yourself. You just need to have the time and the patience and if you look on google and research wedding games there are tons of ideas out there.

If you are in the process of wedding planning would you mind if I really encouraged you to think about such details ? I promise that they would definitely turn your wedding into a truly fantastic union certainly worth remembering forever.

Learn how to make yourself some table runners, ribbon garlands, floral arrangements, paper flowers, pom poms, your own seating charts, homemade wedding favours. The list is endless, but not impossible. Go on give it a try !

Foody Friday (Wedding tasters) ...

I have been flicking through my pinterest boards and have noticed that my Wedding Board has really started to mount up. While this is a good thing I worry that perhaps I will later on forget about the stuff in there, despite their prettiness. Yes I am sad I choose foods because of their outward  appearance. Thing is though that's what makes me so special when it comes to organising parties; everything works well together, the food and the decoration.

So, as a result, I thought that it might be a good idea to start testing some of these recipes to see what works and what does not work, because seriously something really should taste as good as it looks otherwise it is so easy to be disappointed and that I do not want especially not at my wedding !

I personally adore all especially the birdie cake topper; I would just buy these to have as ornaments in my home because I love them so much !

Bridal Showers...

If you are in the UK perhaps you are fully aware of the traditional English hen night ?! Drink, dancing, dancing and more drink oh and maybe a dinner thrown in just to balance it all out. What is nice about that ? Now don't get me wrong partying can be fun, but you can do that anytime. So why not really treat your Bride to be. Make it something really special. Something she will really really like. Now please do not fret. You don't have to spend zillions and zillions of pounds to make her shriek with delight.


In fact it wasn't until I was creating my own inspiration board of what I would be interested in for mine (just to make my maid of honours life that much easier lol love you) that I realised there are so many other things to do that can be exceptional and truly wonderful and a whole lot more satisfying than going out and getting a little topsy turvy ! Who wants to wake up with a banging headache not remembering what happened the night before ? I know I don't. So just to make it clear I DO NOT LIKE CLUBBING !


Here however, are things that do thrill and delight me and are pictures that make up my mood board on my pinterest account.

My vision is an outdoor picnic with fairy lights hanging in trees, a pretty well laid table with peonies and ranunculus's which are my favourite flowers ever !  A pretty tea service with a selection of ice teas in glass dispensers beautifully displayed with fruits and herbs that compliment each other and if not sparkly pink champagne then pink lemonade with cute stripy straws being sipped directly from the bottles ! And amongst the other many ideas buzzing around my pretty little head the ladies would all be wearing sweet pastel airy fairy type dresses to enhance the ambience. Beautiful if I may say so myself.

My heart melts ....


Yesterday I got the sweetest of cards ever. It was sent by one of my girls accepting to be my bridesmaid and it went along the lines of:

We've been more than cousins

All of these years,

Through the thick and thin,

Some joy and some tears.

When I think back on those special days,

Of the fun we had in so many ways,

I think of the way I always knew,

I'd stand beside you when you say 'I do!'

You are my dearest cousin,

and it is so very clear,

that our love for each other

will last though the years.

A special poem I have chosen for you,

Along with your flowers,

please remember it too.

A memento it becomes

from your wedding day.

That I hope you will cherish

as the years pass away !

The card was so cute; all hand made and beautifully written that I daren't ever throw it away. I cried so much afterwards and was thoroughly thrilled that she said yes. So a little thank you goes out to her Rose Elizabeth Buckley the little star she is ... I can't wait for you to look all beautiful and glamourous on my big day and have you walk down the aisle with me; nanny would be so proud. I love you so much and thank you a million times over ! 

So there you have it a little post for today. I am again in tears just writing this. For now I will sign off and go busy myself looking at bridesmaid dresses.

Bridesmaids ...

Have any of you seen that movie "bridesmaids' aren't the dresses just horrendous ! Well I thought that was a joke and with it being a movie I thought surely everyone has gotten over those dreaded silk, satin and ruffled, puffy sleeved bridesmaids dresses ? Urm actually I was wrong. I have seen pictures of weddings here in the UK where brides have their ladies dressed from head to toe in this stuff. Have they not been out of their homes in the past decade ?! I mean seriously it's time to move on and get with it lol ! 

I don't know whether it is just me now that I live in a cosmopolitan city. Maybe I am more in tune with fashion what works and what so does not work, but even at bridal shops especially in my hometown I have seen brides trying on dresses that don't at all suit them and have their poor bridesmaids looking like some sort of puffy exotic bird lol !

I dread to think what my girls are thinking ! I mean I don't want them stressing. That I certainly don't want.  Ladies just to warn you now ( you know who you girls are) I have taste and I promise, promise I will not make you wear something you won't feel comfortable in or look stupid in.  I want you to be happy, feel beautiful and be all smiley in the pictures on our big day.

Some of the ideas I have in mind. 

My favourite material would have to be chiffon. It is so floaty and makes every woman feel elegant and beautiful. Or so that is what I believe.

I also really like the idea of all my maids having the same colour dress but different styles to really suit them.  Maybe one would prefer a shorter dress while the other would be more inclined to wear a full length dress. Who knows !

I am in love ...

And I think it's a love that's going to last a while. My friends and family might laugh but this is something I have been ohhhing and arrrring over for longer than a year now and it a beautiful thing so pretty that it makes me smile everytime. It's luscious and so damn cute its confetti system's tassled garlands. And OMG; oh my goodness I have just this very second found a place in London yes IN LONDON where I can buy one, I feel like I have just been sent to heaven ! 


Oh and perhaps I should update some of you that don't know about Confetti System I mean I am probably speaking nothing but gibberish right now !

The wonderful world of ....


Pom poms !!!


OK pom poms have been around for a while now. I have done them and done them and done them so much that people tend to expect nothing but pom poms at my parties, but have I overdone it ? Do I need to move on and find another obsession ? To keep quiet of something perhaps even more amazing until our wedding or do I give them the all thumbs up and carry on with them ?! 


We have seen them everywhere and that for me is the issue; weddings, birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, in bedrooms as general decoration in other peoples homes the list goes on. But are we all tired of them or hungry for more ? I am in a hit and miss sort of bother right now !

Although I am all for this cute wedding reception I mean how freakin adorable ! Just look at those little babies up there in a long chain oh how glorious ... they really work well with the wheels on the back wall ... super cute !

My guesses are it's just how they are styled. Sometimes they can look darn right silly as in a little scarce and lonesome ... I sort of feel sorry for them ! But really it's how they are grouped and with what they are grouped with which really can give them the oh so important wow factor that they perhaps actually deserve. 

I don't know would you be impressed to see them at a wedding or would you be like 'OK seriously we need to get over this now and move on ?' Please let me know as I am in a sticky mess !! Lol ...
